MINT HILL, NC – Sunflower Café and Outreach is a blossoming flower in Mint Hill. Large smiles and sometimes hugs greet customers because AmySue and Sarah, the co-owners, eagerly serve each customer. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, plus the food is delicious!
I ordered the Miss American Pie waffle. It is a Belgium waffle topped with stewed cinnamon apples and whipped cream. The apple blend was scrumptious, just enough sugar and spice to make it a treat or a meal. The waffle was cooked perfectly to a golden brown. Since I stayed to enjoy the ambiance, I drank my latte from a Sunflower Club mug they sell. Nothing is better than to sip a hot latte from a ceramic mug with a Mint Hill design! While I had the gluten version, they serve many options for all dietary choices including gluten-free and dairy-free selections.
More than just coffee and waffles, Sunflower Cafe and Outreach is a nonprofit. Their mission is to be a gathering place for the community to connect and encourage each other. They provide assistance to those who need a little support. With their new outdoor seating space, enjoy the beautiful fall weather and connect with a new friend or customer. Stop by to learn more about how you can help others in our Mint Hill community. Enjoy a waffle, chicken salad, or a baked good from the display while you are there! Sunflowers are a universal symbol of hope, help, and joy, and Sunflower Club is a ray of hope, help, and joy to Mint Hill.
