
On Wednesday evening the Patriots were matched up against Bishop England High School from Daniel Island, South Carolina.
The Patriots were unable to score any runs in the top half of the first inning. However, the Battling Bishops scored two runs on two hits to take a 2-0 lead after one full inning.

The Bishops increased their lead to 3-0 by scoring one run in the bottom of the fourth inning. Bishop’s pitcher Geoffrey Gilbert led off with a walk and Gregory Sanders came in as a courtesy runner. Sanders stole second and
worked his way to third. With a runner on third and no outs, Ryan Gaffney reached on an error which scored Sanders from third to give the Battling Bishops a 3-0 lead after four innings.
The Patriots got on the scoreboard in the top of the fifth inning when C. J. Brown got hit by a pitch and was awarded first base. With Cooper Fandel at the plate, Brown stole second and a few pitches later stole third. Two pitches later Fandel singled to right center scoring Brown. The inning ended on a fly ball to center leaving runners on first and third.

In the bottom half of the fifth the Battling Bishops sent nine batters to the plate scoring four runs on one hit, a sacrifice bunt, two walks, three batter got on base after being hit by a pitch, and Indy was called for two balks.

At the end of the fifth the Battling Bishops took a 7-1 lead. Neither team managed any more runs and the Bishops took the victory 7-1.
