Independence High School Patriots  

Football



Wes Cook – The Patriots senior quarterback was 14-of-19 passing for 205  yards with three touchdowns and he carried six times for 59 yards rushing against Hopewell High School.  A total of 264 yards offensively.

Dylan Bryan – The Independence senior sure-handed wide receiver caught eight passes for 102 yards and three touchdowns.while catching three touchdown passes.

Patriots Defensive Team – The entire defensive unit played an outstanding game to shutdown Hopewell in a 56-0 rout.  The Indy active linebackers were aggressive, the defensive line and defensive backs were all solid.  Special teams also had a strong performance for the green and gold.

Soccer

Cvan Than – After 4 games played the junior forward/midfielder has scored nine goals on 14 shots for the Patriots who are now 3-1 on the season.  Cvan was named player of the game against Hopewell High School when he scored five  goals in the 7-0 win.

Rocky River High School Ravens 

Football

Jailyn Wilson – The OLB for the Ravens had nine solo tackles, two assists and one sack for the defense against the Phillip O. Berry Cardinals.

Jaylon Sharpe – Linebacker for Rocky River contributed eight solo tackles with three assists on defense. From his tight end position, Sharpe made several key blocks while catching a couple of passes.

Zyone Easterling – Ravens defensive back had seven solo tackles and one assist to make a major contribution to a fine defensive effort on Friday night.

Khalil Turner – Another defensive back who played big on Friday night in the home opener when he had five solo tackles and three assists to make a solid contribution to contain their opponents offense.
