Independence Patriots

Baseball: 



Jonathon Todaro – The Indy pitcher hurled a complete game victory against Porter Ridge on Friday night allowing just 4 hits, 2 walks, and 2 earned runs.  He also had 6 strikeouts and now has a 3-1 record on the season for the Patriots.  Todaro receives this weeks “Honorable Mention” as the Featured Player of the Week.

Raja Milton – The senior outfielder contributed to the Patriots cause this past week going 6-10, with 2 doubles, 3 RBI’s and scored 2 runs.

Softball: 

Kayla Douglas – The Indy senior starter pitched shutout softball all week for 10 solid innings with an ERA 0.00, while accumulating 13 strikeouts, and allowing just seven baserunners.  She has pitched 26.1 innings this season with 28 strikeouts for the Patriots and an OBA .208 on 509 pitches.

Maya Douglas – The sophomore phenom in 9 games is currently hitting .542, with 13 hits, 5 doubles, 1 home run, and 12 RBI’s for the Patriots.

Jaylin Adkins – The solid junior has pitched 16 innings with an ERA 0.00, has allowed only 7 hits, 3 walks, and has acquired 22 strikeouts on 245 pitches.  Jaylin has an OBA .121, and OBP.164 on the season to date.  She is also hitting at a .316 clip with three extra-base hits.

Brianna Grant – The senior slugger has a batting average of .500, with 10 RBI’s, and four extra-base hits on the season.

Anna Shaver – The sponky senior has a solid .462 batting average with 12 hits, and 6 RBI’s.

Mallory Shaver – The powerful sophomore is hitting at a team-leading .565 clip, has 13 hits, 13 RBI’s and four extra-base hits which included three triples.

Soccer:

Annaliese Shelley – The senior team leader continues to shine on the soccer field for the 6-3 Lady Patriots.  She has an outstanding 21 goals, 5 assists, for a total of 47 points.  She is averaging 2.3. goals per game, and 5.2 points per game this season.

Queens Grant Stallions:

Baseball: 

Andy Duran – The 2018 All-State outfielder, went 2-4 on Friday night while playing a solid defensive ball game.  He is batting .429 for the season, an OBP .515, with 13 RBI’s,including 3 doubles and one home run through the first 9 games for the Stallions.

Leo Hoffer – Pitched 6 solid scoreless innings for the Stallions.  He allowed only 1 hit, 2 walks and had 7 strikeouts in the important win over Mountain Island.

Nick Kuebler – The junior went 3-5 with 5 RBI’s on Friday night to lead the Stallions offensively.  He is hitting .483 on the season with 6 RBI’s and 8 doubles.

Alwin Duran – The freshman is having an awesome start to his high school baseball career.  He is hitting .500 (14-28) has scored 10 runs, 18 RBI’s, 2 doubles and 2 triples in the first month of the season for the Stallions.
