Independence High School Patriots 

Football 



Elijah Beamer – The senior running back rushed for 65 yards on 13 carries and one touchdown for the Patriots against Hickory Ridge on Friday night.

Dylan Bryan – The senior wide receiver lead the Patriots with 67 receiving yards on multiple catches for the Patriots in the Hickory Ridge game.

Raevon Wofford – The senior linebacker had the only interception of the game against Hickory Ridge when he picked off a pass at the goal line to stop a potential touchdown.

Soccer

Cvan Than – The Patriots junior Forward continues to dominate inside the box attacking one goalkeeper after another with thundering kicks into the net.  Against the Butler Bulldogs Cvan scored three goals he rocketed for scores in the Patriots 5-1 victory.

Queens Grant High School Stallions 

Soccer

Jake Braswell – The senior midfielder scored two goals against Carolina International this past week.  He smacked in the first and winning goal of the contest which was sufficient for the win.  His second goal gave the Stallions a comfortable 3-0 lead. The Stallions defeated their opponent 6-0.

Mario Portillo – The Stallion midfielder banged in two goals this week in the Carolina International rout at QGHS.  Mario scored the second and fourth goal making a significant contribution.

Micah Parker – This upcoming youngster scored two goals as well against Carolina International late in the match to top off the win for the Stallions putting the game out of reach.

Rocky River High School Ravens

Football 

Jaylon Sharpe – The junior middle linebacker was involved in 11 solo tackles and 6 assists throughout the game this past Friday night against the Butler Bulldogs.  Jaylon made a number of key stops and important tackles for the Ravens in third down situations forcing their opponent to punt.  Also, 4 of his tackles accounted for a loss on the play, including a key goal line stop.

Zyone Easterling – The Ravens junior Safety made an outstanding effort with 8 solo tackles and 5 assists for the defensive unit on Friday night against Butler.  Zyone was active on the field making a major contribution for Rocky River.

Stacey Brown – Senior outside linebacker was an enormous contributor defensively while making 6 solo tackles and 2 assists for the Ravens against the Bulldogs Friday night.

Jailyn Wilson – The senior outside linebacker contributed 3 solo tackles and was actively involved on the field by hustling for 6 assists to bolster the Ravens staunch defense.
