Independence Patriots

Basketball: 



Andra McKee – The senior guard was named the “Player of the Game” as he scored 13 points, contributed 3 rebounds, 3 steals, 2 assists and 6 deflections in the Indy win over the Hawks.

Matt Smith – The power forward scored 10 points, added 13 rebounds for the double-double along with 2 steals and 1 assist.

Tyler Harris – The senior forward scored 7 points, 5 rebounds, 6 deflections, 3 assists and 2 steals for the Patriots Friday night.

Raja Milton – The point guard scored 7 points, 5 assists, 3 steals and grabbed 1 rebound Friday night.

Miles Pauldin – The senior scored 8 points along with 3 rebounds, 1 steal and 1 deflection in the Patriots win over the Hawks Friday night.

Braylyn Milton – Led the Lady Patriots with 18 points against West Mecklenburg.

Azurio Barrino – The junior knocked down 10 points for the Patriots over the Hawks.

Honorable Mention –  The junior guard Anthony Allen scored 8 points, landed 2-3 three point shots and had 1 steal.

Queens Grant Stallions 

Basketball: 

Jah’Quez Sanders – The senior guard scored 22 points against Covenant Day and added 31 points with 9 rebounds and 5 assists Friday night vs. Christ the King for the Stallions. The senior is having a very nice season in the teams first eight games.

LB Boyette – The junior contributed 11 points on Tuesday night and another 13 points on Friday night for the Stallions in their two most recent wins.

Jeremiah Murphy – The junior knocked down 15 points against Covenant Day and added 11 points in the Stallions win on Friday night.

Xavier Westbrook – The steady dependable senior scored 13 points, had 9 rebounds in the teams non-conference win against Christ the King.

Honorable Mention – Goes to Josh Suggs, a senior point guard who scored 4 points, played solid defense, had key steals and pushed the ball up court for the Stallions.
