Independence Patriots 

Soccer: 



Cvan Than – The senior and team leader continues to dominate the statistics with consistent performances for the Patriots.  In 14 games this season to date he has accumulated 17 goals, 6 assists and 40 points.

Chris Davis – The  senior midfielder picked up a key goal in a recent victory for the Patriots.  He continues to make a significant contribution scoring 9 goals , 3 assists and 20 points in the 14 games played and reported this season.

Queens Grant Stallions 

Cross Country

Lucas Brown –  The talented hard working senior Cross Country and track standout continues to improve his times and overall performance setting new record highs.  In the 5000 meter run Brown set a personal best 16:02.00, in the 3200 meter run 11:40.28, 1600 meter run 4:28.60 and the 800 meter run 2:10.15.

Soccer: 

Mario Portillo – The senior continues to set the pace for the Stallions this season.  He recently scored the winning goal against Central Academy of Technology for the 1-0 victory.  On the season he leads the team with 18 goals, 7 assists and 43 points while averaging 2.4 points per game.

Micah Parker – The junior midfielder and attacker for the Stallions continues to play a big role in the teams late surge.  Parker has accumulated 18 goals, 3 assists for 39 points while averaging 2.2 points per game.  The Stallions are now 9-9 on the season.

Note:  Mecklenburg High School football games were cancelled due to the recent severe storm to hit our area.  The Butler vs. Independence game has been rescheduled to November 9th at Butler.  While Rocky River will be away to lineup against East Mecklenburg on November 9th.
