Independence High School Patriots 

Basketball: 



Jamarius Burton – The outstanding senior was named Southwestern 4A Conference Tournament MVP.  He averaged in 22.7 points, 5.34 rebounds, 4.67 assists and 2.0 steals per game in the tournament.  He also showed outstanding team leadership and played solid defensively.

Andra McKee –  The junior scored 18 points against both Myers Park and Butler in the SW4A Conference Tournament.  He averaged 5.34 rebounds, 1.0 assists and 1.0 steals per game.

Matt Smith – The power forward junior averaged 12.67 points, 9.0 rebounds, 1.0 assists, 1.34 steals and 3.0 blocks per game in the recent SW4A Conference Tournament.

Honorable Mention – Raja Milton, Jordan Mobley, Miles Pauldin and Anthony Allen.

Rocky River High School Ravens

Basketball: 

Jaden Springer – The superb sophomore was named the Southwestern 4A Conference MVP.  Springer who is the number one player in the 2020 Class statewide and ranked 15th nationally in his class averaged 24.7 points, 10.2 rebounds, 2.5 assists, 2.4 steals and 2.4 blocks per game for the season.

Darlinstone Dubar – The junior forward scored 14 and 15 points while he averaged 6.46 rebounds in two SW4A Tournament games against Garinger and Butler.

Honorable Mention: Marcus Evans, Elijah Sidbury, Khalil Brantley and Tray Williams. 

Butler High School Bulldogs

Basketball: 

Gerrale Gates –  The senior power forward and leader of the Bulldogs averaged 14.0 points, 14.34 rebounds, 8.0 assists and 1 block per game in the Southwestern 4A Conference Tournament.

Honorable Mention: Jalen Gibson, DJ Little, Raquan Brown.

Outstanding Team: The Southwestern 4A Conference regular season and tournament champions the Independence Patriots with a 26-1 overall record, 14-0 in the SW4A Conference.  The Patriots are also ranked 6th in the state and currently 85th nationally.
