Independence High School Patriots 

Basketball: 



Jamarius Burton – The Senior Guard in the win against Myers Park scored 16 points with 11 rebounds for the double-double, while adding 5 assists, 2 blocks and 2 steals for the Patriots.

Andra McKee – The Junior contributed 13 points while hauling in 7 rebounds and 3 steals for Independence in the recent Myers Park contest.

Girls: 

Braylyn Milton – The outstanding Lady Patriots Freshman scored 15 points, added 4 rebounds, 4 steals, 3 deflections and 2 assists in the win over Myers Park.

Sharonda Smith – The steady and consistent Junior scored 12 points, grabbed 3 rebounds, had 3 deflections and 2 assists for the Lady Patriots.

Queens Grant High School Stallions: 

Jeremiah Murphy – The 6’5″ Sophomore Forward scored 18 points along with hauling in 13 rebounds for the double-double and added 3 assists for the Stallions in their game against Pine Lake.

Honorable Mention:  Sophomore LB Boyette contributed 12 points, pulled down 5 rebounds and added 1 steal in the Pine Lake varsity basketball contest.

Rocky River High School Ravens: 

Due to recent snow storm and CMS being closed 3 days all sports were cancelled and postponed.  All athletic competition will resume this coming week.
