Independence High School Patriots

Basketball:



Andra McKee – The junior Guard was named the Patriots Player of the Game as he scored 17 points, shot 3-4 three pointers, had 4 rebounds, 4 assists and added 2 steals in the Patriots win over Olympic.

Matt Smith – The 6’6″ junior Power Forward contributed 12 points, snagged 10 rebounds, blocked 4 shots, had 3 steals and added 2 assists against the Trojans in the Patriots victory.

Jamarius Burton – The senior Guard scored 11 points, had 4 assists and gabbed 3 rebounds to make a significant contribution to the Patriots win.

Basketball: (Girl’s)

Sharonda Smith – The Indy junior had an outstanding game and was named the Player of the Game for the Patriots.  She scored 21 points, was 4-7 in three pointers, hauled in 7 rebounds, and added 2 blocked shots for the Patriots 50-39 victory over the Lady Trojans.

Braylyn Milton – The talented freshman scored 16 points, pulled down 7 rebounds and had 1 blocked shot to make a major contribution to the Patriots victory.

Queens Grant Stallions

Basketball:

Jah’Quez Sanders –  The senior Guard/Forward scored 18 points and pulled down 7 rebounds for the Stallions in their victory over Covenant Day.

Jeremiah Murphy – The transfer scored 14 points and pulled down 11 rebounds for the Stallions in the season opening game win over Covenant Day.

Rocky River Ravens

Basketball:

Jaden Springer – The outstanding sophomore Guard/Forward led the Ravens over South Mecklenburg scoring 20 points, 11 rebounds and 1 blocked shot to lead the Ravens to victory.  After two games he has scored 57 points averaging 28.5 points per game.

Jordan Campbell – The senior Guard scored 18 points against South Mecklenburg on Friday night to complement teammate Springer in the backcourt.  He is averaging 15.0 points per game for the first two games into the season.

Darlinstone Dubar – The Ravens junior Forward dominated the first half against the Sabres showing offensive flare with excellent vertical jumping ability.  He scored 16 points making a significant contribution to the Ravens victory.

Basketball: (Girl’s)

Andresia Alexander – The junior leader scored 13 points, was 1-1 in three pointers, had 4 rebounds and provided 1 assist in the Lady Ravens loss to South Mecklenburg.

Covenant Day Lions

Basketball:

Drew Patterson – The Matthews school sophomore offensive leader led all scorers with 24 points in the Lions loss to QGHS.  He was 10-11 from the free throw line, had 2 three pointers, grabbed 6 rebounds and added 2 steals in the game with the Stallions.
