The Rocky River Ravens men’s basketball team completely dismantled the Pirates in the second half after a competitive first period with the Ravens taking a 29-17 lead after being down 9-1 early in the opening minutes of the contest.

In the second period Darlinstone Dubar sat out the entire period nursing two fouls as the game remained fairly competitive.  However, Jordan Campbell the outstanding point guard was hitting his 3 pointers, and Jaden Springer appeared to be able to do anything he wanted on the hard court.  Marcus Evans, Elijah Sidbury, Narique Smith and Jalen Perry all stepped up and made major contributions giving the Ravens a solid 53-29 half time lead.

In the third period with Springer dominating hitting shots adding 3 slams on fast breaks, Campbell hitting 2 more three pointers and having Dubar under the boards and making a slam scoring 8 points in the period the Ravens just crushed the Pirates as they had no answer as all the Ravens started to make significant contributions just piling on the points and keeping relentless pressure on their opponent.  By the end of the period the Ravens added to their lead and were now in a very comfortable position.

In the fourth period Coach Moseley sat his starters and gave his solid bench players all the playing time they needed and these young men made the most of the opportunity.  They continued to beat on the Pirates opening up to a 40 point victory 109-69 as this is the second time of the season the Ravens hit the 100 point mark against an opponent.

Two points for the Ravens.

Nick Burns, Nakeem Nicholas, Khalil Brantley, Tray Williams, Jalen Lewis and Dwight Goodwin all showed their abilities giving this team some real solid bench strength which should benefit the Ravens as the season moves forward.

Springer lead all scorers with 32 points, Campbell contributed 23 points, Dubar with 12 points were all in double figures with multiple rebounds, assists and steals which crushed the Pirates.  Meanwhile, Cameron Stitt lead the Pirates with 18 points and Josh Huntley added 10 for the home team.
