The Rocky River Ravens 6-2 continue their recent winning ways with a dominating performance on the road over the Ragin’ Bulls with a convincing 97-69 victory on Tuesday night.

At one point during the opening period of the game the Ravens had a 20-3 lead and were running up and down the court at will as Hickory Ridge was not hitting their shots and the Ravens were pulling down rebounds preventing second shot opportunities.

At the end of the second period during intermission the Ravens had a commanding 52-27 lead over their opponent.  Jaden Springer the outstanding sophomore already scored 19 points and Darlinstone Dubar contributed 13 points while both players along with Marcus Evans controlled the boards and the tempo of the game.

In the second half in particular in the third period entering into the front end of period four the Ravens again just ran up and down the court with a consistent full and half court press to control the contest.  The Ravens seemed to be able to achieve whatever they wanted to get accomplished on the court.

With the score 72-43 at the buzzer Springer hit a jump shot to add to the frustration for the Ragin’ Bulls.  Both teams put their starting lineups back on the court to begin the fourth period as Hickory Ridge was hoping to make a comeback.  However, this strategy backfired as the Ravens opened up with a full court press making it difficult for Hickory Ridge to set up plays and penetrate the paint.

Meanwhile, with a rotation of fresh Ravens players coming in and out of the game every 2-3 minutes just was to much for the Ragin’ Bulls to handle.  With the final score 97-69 the home team was able to keep the blowout under 30 points when they hit a jump shot at the buzzer.

The Ravens Jaden Springer lead all scorers with 33 points, Darlinstone Dubar added 17 points and senior Nakeem Nicholas contributed 10 points for Rocky River.  Darian Bell and Jordan Minlend each scored 15 points, while Michael Bagnasco had 10 points for Hickory Ridge.
