Kaleb has been a member of the Independence Football team since 2015 for the past three seasons.  He is 6′-2″ and weighs 250 pounds who can apply severe pressure on any offense.  He also played on offense for the Patriots making him a rare two-way player in today’s football game.  Against Butler Kaleb competed in every down of the game on both sides of scrimmage, a warrior.  He is also on the track team and competes in the Shot Put and Discus.

What motivates him as a student athlete is the sense of accomplishment.  He has a strong desire and is determined to always improve his skills on the gridiron and as a person in life.  Kaleb has had to overcome adversity and has proven to become a humble leader for the Patriots.

His goals this senior year are to maintain a high level of achievement both academically and in athletics.  He is a solid student with a good GPA and has been excelling in his core classes in preparation for college in autumn.  One of his goals is to obtain a scholarship to reduce the expense of a college education.  He hopes he can accomplish this objective in both academics and in athletics through football.

Kaleb’s mom has been the most influential person in his life and is his biggest fan.  She is his hero as a single mom and has raised him to learn to overcome challenges and to never give up.  To become a better person and to always strive to do his best, don’t settle for less.

After graduation Kaleb would like to attend a college or university where he can continue to play football while he pursues his academic endeavors.  He will decide and declare a major at a later date.

What’s most important is to keep on top of your grades and concentrate on your academics, don’t set yourself up for failure.  This is the advice he would give to underclassmen.

Kaleb is also a young man of faith, “I believe we can do all things through Christ who strengthens me,” said Kaleb.  His mom has taught him scripture and he tries to live his life accordingly.
