This weeks selection as the Mint Hill Times Player of the Week goes to Rocky River QB senior Brent Jones.  The play caller connected with speedster James Maye for a 78 yard touchdown reception.  Then rushed 38 yards from the line of scrimmage to score another touchdown against South Iredell in the Ravens 2018 home opener at “The Rock.”  Jones accumulated a 111 yards passing, 49 yards rushing for a total of 160 all purpose yards.  He averaged 8.2 yards per carry rushing and 27.8 yards per reception passing.  Also, his management of the game and senior leadership showed on the gridiron throughout the contest.  He controlled the tempo of the offense who rushed for 275 yards and passed for 111 yards which was very efficient.  The Ravens won the game 26-9 while putting up 386 yards in total offense.
