


On Tuesday night the Rocky River Lady Ravens jumped out to an early lead over the visiting Lady Patriots and went on to take a 61-47 conference win to remain in third place in the Southwestern 4A Conference trailing Butler and Hickory Ridge.
Junior guard Delayzha Dixon led four Lady Ravens in double figures with 20 points. Mashya Scott added 16 points for the victors. Andresia Alexander and Erial Chambers scored 10 points each as the Lady Ravens shot 25-of-67 from the floor for a team average of 37 percent and 8-of-14 at the free throw line. Braylyn Milton led the Lady Patriots with 21 points on 8-of-19 from the field including 1-of-7 from the three point perimeter. Laura Flynn and Grace Breckenridge added 8 points each. Azuria Barrino had 6 points and grabbed 8 rebounds. Natalyah Wilson scored 2 points, and Sharonda Smith finished up Indy’s scoring with 1 point.
At halftime the Lady Patriots trailed 30-15, but Indy made a third period run scoring 23 points behind Braylyn Milton’s 14 third period points. The Lady Patriots held Rocky River to 17 points and cut the Lady Ravens’ lead to nine 47-38 heading into the final period. In the fourth period Rocky River picked up its defense and held the Lady Patriots to nine fourth period points and took a 61-47 victory. The loss knocked the Lady Patriots out of a fourth place tie with Myers Park. They are currently all alone in fifth place in the conference standings.
