
Sally Ann Aponick, 55, of Mint Hill, died unexpectedly at her home on Thursday, May 25, 2017.
Sally was born in Duluth, Minnesota, on May 14, 1962, the daughter of Wasil and Elizabeth Mulner Aponick. She graduated from Brennan High School in Shenandoah, Pennsylvania. She moved to Charlotte and went to work doing accounting and executive secretarial work with her most recent job being at Pelican Technology. Though she enjoyed many things in life, Sally most enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, including her four legged feline companions. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her.
Sally is survived by her partner of over 20 years, Eric Thompson of Charlotte; and three sisters: Patricia Mohr of San Antonio, Texas, Barbara (husband Paul) Deusterman of Phoenix, Arizona, and Sharon (husband Don) Roberts of Charlotte. Sally is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
The family of Lowe-Neddo Funeral Home has been given the privilege of caring for Sally. A gathering of friends and family was held from 2 to 4 pm on Sunday, June 4, 2017, at the funeral home, 4715 Margaret Wallace Road, Matthews. All were invited to come and join for food and fellowship as they informally shared their favorite memories of Sally.
