MINT HILL, NC -Lucille Flowe Furr, age 88, of Mint Hill, NC passed away February 9, 2022, at Novant Rowan Medical Center in Salisbury, NC. She was born March 13, 1933, to the late Olin and Mamie Flowe of Mint Hill, NC. Lucille enjoyed her friends, especially the Red Hat Club and Square Dancing. She was a faithful and compassionate caregiver to many of her loved ones. She was a lifelong member of Philadelphia Presbyterian Church.

She was preceded in death by brothers, Olin Tweed Flowe and Lee Douglas Flowe; and her husband of 63 years, William Brown Furr. She is survived by her son, Dr. William Stephen Furr and his wife Dr. Ann Ratchford  Furr of Salisbury, NC; grandchildren, William Christopher Furr of Virginia Beach, VA and Micah Ann Furr of Greenville, NC; sister, Barbra F. Price of Greensboro, NC; sister-in-law, Gypsy H Flowe of Matthews, NC; and several special nieces and nephews.

The family received friends from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm on Saturday, February 12, 2022, at McEwen Funeral Home in Mint Hill, 7428 Matthews-Mint Hill Road, Charlotte, NC. A funeral service was held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, February 13th, 2022 at Philadelphia Presbyterian Church, 11501 Bain School Road, Mint Hill, NC. Pallbearers were Brad Furr, Greg Furr, Michael Price, George Flowe, Christopher Furr, and Darryl Kattner. Burial followed at Sunset Memory Gardens, 8901 Lawyers Road, Mint Hill, NC.
