
MINT HILL, NC – Eva Jean Rushing Yandle, 79, of Indian Trail, North Carolina, through the blessing of hospice, passed away surrounded by family at home on Monday, August 31, 2020.
Eve, as she was also known, was born in Mecklenburg County on July 15, 1941, the daughter of Raymond and Tirzia Hagler Rushing. She grew up there and on July 18, 1975, she married D. Roy Yandle. She worked for Drum Manufacturing and then retired from Herff Jones Photography. When not working she enjoyed jigsaw puzzles, sewing, and gardening. Most of all, however, she loved the time spent with family and friends. Her blessing will be lovingly remembered and missed.
Eve is survived by her husband, Roy, of Indian Trail; a daughter Trudy (husband Tommy) Crawford of Indian Trail; a daughter Karen (husband Chris) Vickers of Alma, Georgia; and a son Ronnie (wife Marian) Yandle of Ft. Mill, South Carolina; and four siblings: Katie Helms of Monroe, NC, Ralph (Sylvia) Rushing of Matthews, NC, Virginia Mullis of Monroe, and Raymond (Pete) Rushing of Stanfield, NC. Eve is further survived by 8 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Linda “Lindy” Denise Rushing.
Eve’s family has given the family of Lowe-Neddo Funeral Home the privilege of caring for them and for her. Visitation will take place beginning at 11 AM on Wednesday, September 2, 2020, at the funeral home, 4715 Margaret Wallace Road, Matthews, 28105. At 11:45, all present are welcome to join the family in traveling to Sunset Memory Gardens, 8901 Lawyers Road, for a graveside service led by Pastor Glen Johnson to begin at 12 noon. Please proceed on your own and meet the family there.
