Joseph Randall “J.R.” Page, age 79, passed away unexpectedly to be with his one true love on Tuesday, January 16, 2018.

He was born on June 7, 1938 in Tarboro, NC to the late William Oscar Page and Helen Taylor Page.



J.R. was a man who loved to sing, get dressed up, and show off a little. He was a man who loved his children and grandchildren and who had a zest for life. He served in the Army then went on to work for Nabisco. He had a passion for sales that continued throughout his life. Randy was involved in several singing groups at church and in the community. He sincerely enjoyed finding unique Nabisco memorabilia through out the years and has an extensive collection. He also enjoyed investigating his ancestry by searching through old records and travelling through out eastern North Carolina. He was very active while he attended church and remained a member of Plaza Presbyterian Church.

Mr. Page is survived by his son, Scott Randall Page (Leslie) and daughter, Kelly Page Misasi (Sal); grandchildren, Jackson Clifford Lohrer, Wilson Taylor Lohrer; former son-in-law, Michael Dale Lohrer; siblings, William Murray Page (Jane), Micki Page Mabry (Bill), Janice Page Kinnier (Stan) and Cherry Page Fife. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife of 46 years, Jackie Morris Page.

A visitation will be held from 5:00pm until 7:00pm on Sunday, January 21, 2017 at McEwen Funeral Service-Mint Hill Chapel, 7428 Matthews-Mint Hill Road, Mint Hill, NC 28227.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00am on Monday, January 22, 2018 at Philadelphia Presbyterian Church, 11501 Bain School Road, Mint Hill, NC 28227.

Burial will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens.
