If you have not done so yet, now is the perfect time to make sure you have the correct social security number and mailing address on file for each employee. This will alleviate having to wait months down the road only to have to file a corrected W2 or re-mail the W2 to the correct address.

I always send an email to my clients in early December to kindly remind each employee to double-check their social security number and address. Even if they are electronic, you want to make sure they match the address they reside at. It is never too late to double-check.
