The Patriot Guard Riders (PRG) of North Carolina are a group of veterans and non-veterans volunteers of motorcycle bikers who do great service for all veterans who have served honorably for our nation in our local communities statewide and nationwide while providing funeral escort services to a fallen hero.
The organization is 100% volunteer and is federally registered as a 501(c)3 non-profit which guarantees dignity and respect at memorial services honoring fallen military heroes, first responders, and honorably discharged veterans.
The Patriot Guard Riders is a diverse bunch of riders from all across our nation. They all have one common goal and unwavering respect for those who risk their lives for America’s freedom and security which includes our fallen heroes in today’s conflicts around the globe. These dedicated individuals perform an honorable and respectable service to the fallen and their families.
Their main mission is to attend the funeral services as invited guests of the family. Every mission has two primary basic objectives. First, to show their sincere respect for our fallen heroes, their families and the communities in which they lived. Secondly, to shield the mourning family and their friends from interruptions created by any protester or group of protesters. They have been extremely successful in accomplishing their mission through strictly legal and non-violent means. The Patriot Riders are a very tight knit group of individuals from various backgrounds who when together are certainly a powerful force for good in these kind of unfortunate situations during a time of severe difficulty and grief for family and friends of the fallen hero.
They reach out to those who have served and to those who are currently serving and fighting for the freedoms of others abroad and at home, to know and embrace this organization has your back. The Patriot Guard Riders will always honor and support the fallen with every mission they carry out, and they will keep all of our military members in their thoughts and prayers for a safe return home from deployments abroad.
The PGR has also introduced a program now available to all members to sponsor challenge coins that are being hand delivered to our military members that are recovering from wounds in the Critical Care Veterans Affairs (VA) hospitals and facilites around the country.
