Dr. Souffrant is board-certified in family medicine and practices in Mint Hill
Novant Health Carolina Family Physicians is pleased to welcome Dr. Edmire Souffrant to the clinic. Souffrant is board-certified in family medicine and holds a doctor of medicine from the University of Florida College of Medicine in Gainesville, Florida. She most recently completed her family medicine residency at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte.
Souffrant is thrilled to have the opportunity to provide comprehensive medical care to families and individuals, from infants to seniors, in the Mint Hill and Charlotte communities.
Souffrant has conducted and presented impressive research on breastfeeding. She dedicates much of her free time to researching breastfeeding in the African-American community, volunteering, service and leadership. She currently volunteers at the shelter health services in Charlotte, providing free healthcare and health education to the residents of the Salvation Army Center of Hope.
In addition to providing remarkable care, Souffrant enjoys cooking, traveling, reading, exercising and conversing in Haitian Creole — a language she learned as a child, which helped her while on mission trips in Haiti.
Novant Health Carolinas Family Physicians is located at 7110 Lawyers Road in Mint Hill. The clinic is open Monday through Thursday from 7:30 a.m. to 7 p.m., Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon.
