Did You Know that Mint Hill Arts has a Saturday Sampler Program?

My volunteer job at MHA is serving as the Education Direc-tor, and I am always looking for new ways to introduce the community to our programs. I am proud of the teachers/artists who take their talent seriously and work hard to teach their classes. Many of you may not know about the “Saturday Samplers” that we offer in the fall, winter, spring, and summer. The idea for these one-time classes came from members telling me that they did not have time to take classes for 6-weeks. So, I came up with the idea of offering classes on Saturday that would introduce a topic, give the student a choice to take a 6-weeks class (if offered), and also allow them to try seve-ral different samplers. Our Fall Saturday Samplers begin on October 1st and are now open for registration online www.minthillarts.org or in MHA
on Wed-Sat. from 10-4. Classes are limited to 8 students so sign up early! MHA members get a $5 discount. Kim DiBiasio, one of our best known year-round teachers, is teaching classes in “Exploring Alcohol Inks” (12-adult), “Pain-ting is Fun” (6-11), “Sand Pain-ting” (6-11), “Paper Sculptures” (6-11) and “Uncycled Glass Luminaries” (12-adult). Cindy Angeletti will again offer her “demo-then- do “classes in “Mixed Media Morsels “(ages 15- adult). Michael Hutchinson has agreed to teach his popular photography classes “Looking Is Not Seeing” on 4 different Saturdays. You will learn how to find the pictures you want to shoot and learn how to shoot them.
