A day of remembrance and thanks

When disaster strikes, citizens quickly remember their need for skilled and devoted emergency personnel.

Harder to recall, however, is a first responder’s need for support from the public. A recent service at Blair Road United Methodist Church on Sept. 11 provided not only a chance to memorialize lives lost 15 years ago, but also an opportunity to help boost those who continue to be there when needed the most.
