Servant’s Heart features special apothecary jar for September silent auction

Our State magazine celebrated its 75th Anniversary in 2008.  In commemoration, North Carolina potter David Scott Cole created a commemorative pottery apothecary jar.  Only 125 jars were produced.  One of these rare vases was generously donated to Servant’s Heart of Mint Hill and Servant’s Heart has selected the piece for its September Silent Auction.  Proceeds from the auction will provide resources to people in our community who need assistance. The lidded jar is 6 1/2” tall and 4 1/2” wide. A raised single dogwood blossom, the state flower of North Carolina, appears on the front. The piece is signed and a certificate of authenticity is included.

The beginning bid is $25.00.  Bidding will be in increments of no less than $5.00.  Bidding begins at 10:00 am on September 12 at Servant’s Heart located at 9229 Lawyers Road in Mint Hill. The auction ends at 5:00 pm on September 24.

Future auctions will be announced monthly on Servant’s Heart’s Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/ServantsHeartofMintHill/).  If you have questions about the auction or the featured items, contact Tracy Doyle, Manager, at tracy@servantsheart.org.
