The August Show at Mint Hill Arts was our annual People’s Choice Show in which members of the Mint Hill community selected the winners. Here they are:
Best Use of Recycled Materials – “Shapes” by Cristy Kikkert; Funniest – “Mint Hill Madness” by Mary Beth Thomas; Most Creative – “Endeavor” by Kennedy Earle; Prettiest – “Pink Attitude” by Natalia Leigh; and Best in Show – “Hibiscus” by Helene Main.
The September Show is our Annual Judged Water Media show. Pat Kempisty’s “Warm? Warm? Warm?” received the Third Place award. Judy Mizell won both First and Second prize for “Commute” and “Purple Passion,” respectively. The Water Media show will hang at the gallery at 11205 Lawyers Road in Mint Hill until September 27. The gallery, which is free and open to the public, is open Wednesdays through Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.
