WAXHAW, NC – It’s time for the Fourth Annual Pups ‘N Pints South Charlotte Dog Rescue (SCDR) Fundraiser. On September 25 from 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm, Pups ‘N Pints will be held under the water tower in downtown Waxhaw and on Main Street in front of Mary O’Neills. Featuring a Beer Garden, live music, food trucks, vendor fair, and much more, this event will raise money for SCDR to help with vet costs as well as fostering costs. After Pups ‘N Pints, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Sonic AlgoRythym will be playing live. Tickets for the concert are only $5 per person, and kids 10 and under are free! All proceeds directly support the medical needs of the dogs that SCDR rescues and those they assist in the community.
Danielle Spuler, SCDR Board President, shared, “We are very excited for the expansion of this year’s event after missing last year due to the pandemic. Pups ‘N Pints is back and bigger than ever! We have added a larger vendor fair, which will be featured on Main Street in front of Mary O’Neills. Live music from various local artists will be playing throughout the day as well as a new after-hours concert featuring a local favorite band, Sonic AlgoRythym. There will be something for everyone who visits the festival whether they want to shop the vendor fair, eat from the various food trucks in our Food Zone, visit with adoptable puppies in our Puppy Zone, let the kids have fun in our Kids Zone or, for the grownups, drink a few pints from the Beer Zone. There will be raffles available for purchase, a DJ to keep things fun and exciting, and so much more. We are looking forward to an awesome day!”
You can support SCDR at Pups ‘N Pints by participating in a raffle contest, buying a t-shirt, and purchasing tickets to see Sonic AlgoRythym. Spuler continued. “This is our first after-hours Pups ‘N Pints concert, and we can’t wait for everyone to enjoy the wonderful talents of Sonic AlgoRythym! Tickets are $5 per person, and kids 10 or under are free. The tickets are available for purchase in advance at both Mary O’Neill’s and Passionate Paws Animal Hospital, as well as at the welcome table during the Pups ‘N Pints event. There will be food trucks and vendors available during the concert. Our Beer Zone will remain open as well during the concert.”
Spuler finished, “It is so important to us that our amazing sponsors are recognized for their support of our biggest fundraiser of the year. This fundraiser makes a huge impact on our ability to support the many dogs in need in our community. We could not put on an event of this size without the support of our title sponsors, Passionate Paws Animal Hospital, McDermott Law PLLC, Paws Up Pet Sitting, Mary O’Neill’s, and the many other event sponsors and vendors who have made this day possible. Our volunteers are also an integral part of everything that we do and we are so thankful for their service to the animals and our cause! The success of this event will impact the lives of so many dogs for the better!” So grab the family and some friends and head to downtown Waxhaw on September 25 from 12:00 pm to 8:00 pm for fun, music, and a good cause!
