Students from the Queen’s Grant middle school conducted a toy drive and donated new toys for the children who visit the Mint Hill Medical Center Emergency Department. They then enjoyed a tour of the ED, the operating room and sterile processing department to learn about surgeries and the kinds of jobs in healthcare. We reminded them of the importance of science, technology, engineering, and math and how those skills can be used in a hospital.

Those attending were Kayla Harris, Bethany Hartis, Natalie Goodfellow, Audrey Goodfellow, Tara Goodfellow, Philip Adam, Angie Hartis, Maddux Locklear, and Philip Adam is the Middle School Dean Queen’s Grant.
