MINT HILL, NC – Queen’s Grant High School Stallions Junior Guard Kareem Weaver was selected this week’s Player of the Week based on his exciting performance scoring 22 points in the Stallions home opener on Friday night at Carolina Courts against Corvian Community High School.

Weaver kept the Stallions in the basketball game during the second and third periods of the contest scoring 19 of his 22 points, and swishing two consecutive 3-pointers to tie the game at 53 electrifying the home team crowd ending the third period.

He also contributed by playing solid defense, making some key passing assists to teammates all allowing the Stallions good scoring opportunities from his backcourt position. He pushed the ball up and down the floor maintaining a fast tempo throughout his entire time on the court. On Friday night he was a difference maker for the Stallions in a gallant effort against a major conference contender.
