MINT HILL, NC – Novant Health Mint Hill Medical Center is thrilled to welcome Beth Mosher to the hospital as their new Chief Nursing Officer.

Mosher began her nursing career as a critical care nurse at Rush-Copley Medical Center in Aurora, IL.  Mosher also welcomed the opportunity to work in the surgical services specialty as a PACU and Ambulatory Surgery nurse at Northwestern Medicine Valley West Hospital in Sandwich, IL.

After working in the surgical services specialty for several years, Mosher transitioned into a leadership role as manager overseeing operations of the Day Surgery, OR, PACU, Sterile Processing, and Preadmission Testing departments.

“During my time as manager, I prioritized advancing my education and completed my Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and advance practice Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degrees, both from Purdue University,” explains Mosher.  “Upon completion of my MSN degree, I had another wonderful leadership opportunity to oversee all nursing clinical operations as director of clinical and administrative operations at Northwestern Medicine Valley West Hospital.”

Prior to her career in nursing, Mosher was a realtor.  Although it may seem like a big switch, Mosher finds similarities in the two seemingly disparate professions: both allow her to work with people and families to improve their quality of life.

“As a realtor, I enjoyed partnering with clients to help them find the ideal home for their family,” says Mosher.  “I was drawn to the field of nursing because of my passion to serve others and my interest in science.  The nursing profession provides the opportunity to work in many different medical specialties.  It also affords the privilege to partner with patients and their families, making an impact on their health and wellness in a meaningful and rewarding way.”

The over forty frontline team members, leaders, and physicians who participated in the interview process selected Mosher because of the many characteristics she possesses that align with the culture at Novant Health Mint Hill Medical Center: active listening skills, strong relationships with team members, a passion for nursing and patients, an impressive track record of results, a love of volunteering in the community, authenticity and a spirit of collaboration.  Mosher was drawn to Novant Health Mint Hill Medical Center because of its excellent reputation for safety and quality outcomes, patient and team engagement, and their dedication to their community.

In her first few weeks working in the Mint Hill community, Mosher couldn’t help but notice the Mint Hill Medical Center team’s enthusiasm and commitment to caring for and supporting the community.  “Their dedication to providing remarkable patient care is evident in every department within the hospital,” she says.  “I’m so proud to be a member of Mint Hill Medical Center, and I am excited to contribute to the excellent work the team is doing to provide world class care close to home for our community.”

When Mosher isn’t at Mint Hill Medical Center, she enjoys music, art and spending time outdoors.  She is married with four children, and she has traveled to destinations as far away as China, Monaco and France.
