MINT HILL, NC – On Thursday, June 10, the MOMS Club of Mint Hill held their annual banquet at Pour 64 in Mint Hill Village.
Traditionally held in June, the MOMS Club Annual Banquet marks the end of the club’s fiscal year and the transition to a new leadership board. This year, it also marked an official return to in-person gatherings, which had largely been suspended since March of 2020.

“The theme for Thursday’s event was ‘Welcome Back,’” said Christine Schlub, who helped to plan the event. “We have many new members that joined during COVID and have not met any other members yet. I myself joined this past January and have met only a few of the other moms. I think everyone from newbies to seven-year-veterans were all excited to be back and experience all the camaraderie the MOMS Club offers to not only our kids but ourselves!”

“COVID was hard on our club,” says outgoing President Rosie Kakachyan. “We went from having several meet ups every week to nothing overnight. It was wonderful to see everyone in person last night, and we hope it’s the start of a great new year for the MOMS Club!”

MOMS Club of Mint Hill, an acronym that stands for “Moms Offering Moms Support,” is a chapter of MOMS Club International. The club draws many stay-at-home moms of young children, but it is open to all moms with children of any age. The club offers daytime playdates for children, kid-friendly activities for moms and monthly moms’ nights out.
