MINT HILL, NC – Mint Hill Events, Inc, invites the community to Mint Hill Veterans Memorial Park on Saturday, May 21, for the town’s first “Music & Brews Night!”

Sponsored by Edifice, Inc, The Arts & Sciences Council, Elite Physical Therapy, and Mint Hill Wil StateFarm, Music & Brews Night promises to be a night of music and food under the stars.  The event kicks off at 6:30 pm with food available from a variety of vendors, like StrudelTeig, 100 Main Beef & BBQ, A Little Taste of Chicago, and Sprinkles.  Local favorite Olde Mecklenburg Brewery will be pouring a variety of their craft beers for just $6 a pint.

The Coconut Groove Band will take the stage at 7:00 pm.  Known for their tight vocal harmonies and individual instrumental talents, the Charlotte-based Classic Rock band covers a wide range of musical styles from Soul and Rhythm & Blues to Americana, Rock ‘n Roll, and Pop.

Although Music & Brews Night may sound a lot like Mint Hill’s Summer Family Fun Night Series, there are a few important differences.  Alcohol is not served at Family Fun Nights, and although all ages are welcome at Music & Brews Night, there won’t be kid-friendly entertainment bounce houses, lawn games or face painting.

“Mint Hill Events, Inc. wanted to create an event separate from our Family Fun Nights that catered to the adult crowd in the community,” says Mint Hill Events Assistant Cassie Brooks.  “Since Mint Hill Madness was moved to October, the month of May became available for Mint Hill Events, Inc. to host this new event.”

Mint Hill Veterans Memorial Park is located at 8850 Fairview Road.  Overflow parking will be available in the Tower Lot next to the lower soccer field.  Food and beer will be served beginning at 6:30 pm.  Guests are welcome to bring a picnic dinner, but outside alcohol is not allowed at the event.  “We’re looking forward to a great event!” says Brooks.
