MINT HILL, NC – The Town of Mint Hill donated two scoreboards recently to Independence High School. Mayor Brad Simmons and Town Commissioner Patrick Holton stopped by at Indy during a recent softball game against Hough. They shook hands and greeted the crowd on hand watching the ballgame.

The political officials took some photos on the football field and performed a cutting ribbon ceremony at the softball field. Athletic Director, Elijah Ashley was in attendance along with other dignitaries from the school.

The new scoreboards are long overdue and will enhance the overall experience of family, fans, parents, and students when watching and enjoying the hometown team compete on the playing field. The scoreboards are modern and very aesthetically pleasing and appropriate for High School athletic programs.

We have attached some photographs taken at the ceremonial event. The good citizens of Mint Hill should be proud of the support the community provides Independence High School and their students who participate in athletics and many other events on campus.
