The Mint Hill Chamber of Commerce had their formal Ribbon Cutting Ceremony this past week at their new office location in downtown Mint Hill. The new address is 7900 Matthews-Mint Hill Road, Suite 107D Mint Hill, North Carolina 28227.
The crowd on hand was there to celebrate the occasion. Many local dignitaries could be found including Mayor Ted Biggers, Town Manager, Brian Welch, Mike Cochrane, Dale Dalton, Richard Newton Board of Commissioners, Joy Greear, President, Novant Health and Mint Hill Chamber, Paige McKinney, Executive Director, Mint Hill Chamber of Commerce, and local business owners who are members and support the good work of the Chamber.
The mission of the Chamber of Commerce is to serve and promote the local business community by providing networking opportunities, breakfasts, luncheons, speakers, a website and more to highlight the various products and services available in our community.
Currently, there are over 250 members in the organization, the Chamber offers website exposure, Friends of the Chamber Program and Mint Advantage, a member to member discount program initiative is offered to members as well.
The Chamber is basically in it’s simplest form a local association that exists to promote and protect the interests of the local business community of Mint Hill.
There are community events hosted annually by the Chamber which include the Annual Spring Tea & Brunch, Annual Senior Citizens Christmas Party, Annual Golf Classic, Annual Cornhole Tournament, and a Pop Up Christmas Shop.
The Chamber also partners with the Town of Mint Hill on several community events which include the Bi-Annual Paper Shred Event, and the Annual Veterans Breakfast every November around Veterans Day.
