Independence Patriots

Football:



Arnold Taylor – The Patriot QB had a solid performance with multiple double digit completions of 10, 14, 17, and 20 yards along with a 60 yard TD pass to Bryson Tisdale with under a minute remaining in the game. He also had some huge quarterback keepers of 30, 18, and 15 yards in the contest.

Bryson Tisdale – The WR had important receptions at key times during the football game on Thursday night. He caught passes for 14, 17 and 20 yards, including a huge 60 yard TD reception from QB Taylor with 44 seconds remaining to give the Patriots an opportunity to tie the game.

Josh Iseah – The 6’1″ 225 pound sophomore had a huge night defensively for the Patriots. He had three big quarterback sacks and 9 tackles in the football game on Thursday night.

Khaill Morrison – The junior RB picked up some big chunks of yardage with runs of 57 yards, 10 and 9 yards, along with 2 screen pass receptions for 9 yards each to make a nice contribution.

Girls Softball:

Maya Douglas – The senior blasted two home runs and had three RBI’s in a tough loss to the Porter Ridge Lady Pirates on Tuesday. She currently has a batting average of .700 for the season. Douglas was our runner-up “Player of the Week.” Certainly, “Player of the Game” for the Lady Patriots.

Elizabeth Garbark – The sophomore pitched six solid innings, she had a highly competitive and gutty performance on the mound before she ran out of gas in the seventh inning against an undefeated good hitting Lady Pirates team.

Queen’s Grant Stallions

Girls Softball:

Carson Quimet – The sophomore went 1-3 with a stolen base against Mountain Island. On the season she is hitting .438 with 7 hits, 6 RBI’s 7 runs, and two extra base hits a triple and home run for the Lady Stallions.

Rocky River Ravens

Football:

Khalil Archie – The  6′ 0″ 170 pound QB had a solid football game tossing two big touchdown passes in the second half comeback while picking up 63 yards rushing to lead the Ravens to a 24-22 win.

Kalib Jennings – The senior WR caught the game winning touchdown reception with just 53 seconds on the scoreboard clock to seal the victory for the Ravens over Independence. He accumulated 96 rushing yards and 60 passing on 3 receptions.

Antjuan “A.J.” Collins – Another senior WR who connected with his quarterback for a touchdown putting the Ravens on the scoreboard early in the third quarter making the game 16-8. He had 6 receptions for 71 yards.
