Independence Patriots 

Football: 



Defense Week:

Ronnell Garrett – The senior picked up a fumble recovery for a touchdown. He has 3 fumble recoveries on the season. In the previous 4 games he had 16 solo tackles, 18 assists, for a total of 34 tackles along with 1 QB sack.

Josh Iseah – The active sophomore has 26 tackles, 12 assists, for a team leading 38 tackles in 4 games. He also has accumulated 3 sacks.

Jeremy Phillips – The senior in 4 games prior to Friday night has accumulated 18 solo tackles, 17 assists for 35 tackles with an average of 8.8 per game.

Tedrick Spicer – The senior has 18 solo tackles, 13 assists for 31 total in the first 4 games played prior to Friday night.

Girls Lacrosse:

Bailey Withers – The senior in her final season lead the team in goals with 28 in 9 games played. She also had 7 assists for a total of 35 points.

Joni Gerringer – This senior scored 23 goals with 3 assists for 26 points. She had 23 ground balls and 20 draws.

Ella Holmes – Another senior added 18 goals and 5 assists for 23 points. Holmes has 24 ground balls and 12 draws on the season.

Lily Loker – The junior contributed 20 goals and 2 assists for 22 points. She lead the team with 25 ground balls and 5 draws for her efforts.

Queen’s Grant Stallions 

Girls Softball: 

Anne Estelle Strawn – The senior leader in three wins this past week smashed 6 hits, including a HR,  accumulated a total of 3 extra base hits. She contributed 7 RBI’s and 3 stolen bases for the Stallions.

Abi Sawyer – Was named Player of the Game against Concord Academy going 3 for 4, with a double, 2 stolen bases, and 3 RBI’s in the win. The freshman also banged out 3 hits and had 3 RBI’s, while pitching 4 innings tossing 50 pitches allowing 5 hits , 4 earned runs, with 4 strikeouts.

McKenzie Inman – Another senior who has been producing for new head coach Don Nichols had some key hits a double with an RBI with 2 stolen bases. Then added 2 more RBI’s going 2 for 3 with a stolen base against Davidson. Inman was named Player of the Game.

Serafina Perrotti – The senior went 1 for 3 slamming a huge triple to drive in 2 RBI’s against Davidson.

Natalie Megale – The junior went 2 for 3 driving in 2 RBI’s and added a stolen base against Davidson in a recent game.
