Independence Patriots

Fastpitch Softball 



Maya Douglas – The senior two sport athlete had a solid game in a recent loss to Hickory Ridge offensively. She went 3-3 with a solo home run. On the season in just two games played she has hit 2 homers, 1 double, 5 hits, 3 RBI’s and is batting .833.

Mallory Shaver – Another senior in two games is batting .600, with 1 double, 3 hits, 1 RBI, and has drawn 2 base on balls offensively for the Patriots.

Football

Arnold Taylor – The Patriot quarterback who showed a lot of courage passed for 198 yards in the recent loss to powerhouse Butler on Friday night. His longest pass completion was for 21 yards. Taylor had another 8 completions to multiple receivers between 15 and 20 yards. He also added a 10 yard run giving him 208 yards of total offense in the contest.

Queen’s Grant Stallions 

Fastpitch Softball

Anne Estelle Strawn – The senior captain in a recent rout went 2-2, had 3 RBI’s, 4 runs, 2 stolen bases, and 2 walks on offense. She also pitched 3 scoreless innings of no hit softball. Strawn was named “Player of the Game.”

Serafina Perrotti – The senior power hitter went 1-2, had 4 RBI’s, 1 walk, and slammed a home run for the winning Stallions.

Rocky River Ravens

Football

Kalib Jennings – In the recent loss to a strong Myers Park football team the senior running back rushed for 75 yards, and caught 5 passes for 22 yards. He gained 97 yards offensively to lead the team. Jennings was named “Player of the Game.”

Mikie Anderson – The junior defensive end contributed 6 solo tackles and had 1 quarterback sack against Myers Park. He was named the Defensive Player of the Game.”
