Independence Patriots

Football: 



Khalil Morrison – The versatile junior RB, WR had an excellent game on Friday night while scoring a touchdown and finishing the game in the QB position. He caught 5 passes for 74 yards, and had a 19 yard scamper.

Elijah Puranda – The senior RB in his first two games has gained 91 yards on 15 carries for a team leading 6.1 yards per carry. His longest run was a 28 yard dash.

Alex Collins – The team kicker in 2 games accumulated 360 yards on 9 punts for a solid 40.0 yards per punt. His longest of the season is 55 yards, and has pinned 3 inside the 20 giving the Patriots good field position.

Ronnell Garrett – The solid 5’11” 220 pound LB continues to be a defense force on the field. The defensive captain has 7 solo tackles, 7 assisted tackles for a total of 14 going into Friday nights contest.

Taylor Russ – The active 6’0″ 215 pound senior OLB has made 10 solo tackles, including 5 assisted tackles to lead the team in this category entering Friday nights game against Porter Ridge.

Girls Lacrosse: 

Bailey Withers – The team leader after seven games with 21 goals, 5 assists, 26 points along with a shooting percentage of .808, the senior leads the team in all major categories. Withers has taken 26 shots on goal.

Joni Gerringer – This senior has scored 18 goals, has 1 assist for 19 points. Her shot percentage is .783 second on the team with 23 shots on goal.

Ella Holmes – Another solid senior has contributed 14 goals, with 4 assists for 18 points on 23 shots this season to date.

Lilly Loker – The steady junior has tallied 14 goals, 2 assists for 16 points on 19 shots on goal for a .737 shooting percentage.

Maya Douglas – The senior goalkeeper who is a two sport athlete has been doing a commendable job in the net. She has played 350 minutes defending the goal, while allowing an average of 10.0 goals per game. She has accumulated 52 saves, with a 4-3 won loss record.
