Mint Hill Arts Announces its Twelfth Annual Student Art Show

Mint Hill Arts is pleased to announce its Twelfth Annual Student Art Show to be held March 6 – 22, 2020. The show is open to all students in the area in Grades K– 12 from public, private or home schools and adult students of Mint Hill Arts.

The show is judged for high school students (Grades 9 – 12). The awards, generously provided by Robinson Orthodontics, consist of ribbons and the following cash prizes: First Prize, $100; Second Prize, $75; Third Prize, $50; Honorable Mentions, four at $25 ea.

The Opening Reception for the show will be held at the gallery at 11205 Lawyers Road in Mint Hill on Friday, March 6, from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. The awards will be announced beginning at 8:00 p.m. Students, teachers, parents, and friends are invited to enjoy the art and the refreshments. Guidelines and procedures differ for High School students and Elementary and Middle School students and Adult Students of Mint Hill Arts. To enter artwork in the show, complete the required paperwork and bring the art to the gallery between 2:30 and 4:30 p.m. on Monday, March 2nd or Tuesday, March 3rd.

The show will hang until March 22nd. The gallery is open weekly Wednesdays – Saturday from 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. and on Sundays from 1:30 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. during this show. Please call 980-226-5532 before you visit to double-check to be sure it is open. After the close of the show, the art can be picked up from the gallery on Saturday, March 28 from 10:00 a.m. – noon.
