Meet Michele Dotson: a Rodan + Fields consultant who wants to be THE Mint Hill face and skin care resource.

Founded by Stanford-trained dermatologists Dr. Katie Rodan and Dr. Kathy Fields, Rodan + Fields’ was founded with the mission to give people the best skin of their lives and provide an opportunity to empower entrepreneurs.  Rodan + Fields leverages its innovate products, a high-tech high touch business model and its powerful Independent Consultant network to foster ongoing dialogues, personalized experiences and a passionate community of brand ambassadors.  Rodan + Fields’ dermatologist-inspired skincare is founded on Multi-Med Therapy, designed to deliver the right ingredients, in the right formulation and in the right order, to achieve visible results.  The company has five Regimens: Redefine, Reverse, Unblemish, Spotless and Soothe as well as products that fall in the essentials and enhancements categories.

A fifteen-year veteran English teacher at Independence High School and CMS educator since 1986, Dotson’s love and passion has always been teaching.  But as she inched closer to the idea of retiring from a successful and fulfilling career in education, she found herself contemplating a different goal she’d had for many years: owning her own business.

Becoming a Rodan + Fields consultant offered Dotson the opportunity to reach her goal of being a small business owner without the shackles of being tied down to a brick and mortar location.  “I get to be a true entrepreneur, and I receive quality training, guidance, and interaction with a team of like-minded women of all ages and backgrounds,” says Dotson. “We each have our own businesses, but we don’t work alone. I have a store – it’s just online! And isn’t that the future for many products today?”

In her two years with Rodan + Fields, Dotson has helped individuals with a diverse range of real skin concerns from young people with acne to men and women who want to reverse the appearance of sun damage or reduce the look of fine lines and wrinkles.

“I get to meet and help all types of people.  I am confident I can be a great resource for anyone with skin!” says Dotson.  “Seriously! Our products are developed by two Stanford-trained, world-renowned dermatologists, and we can help people of all ages meet their skincare goals.  The heart of my business is building personal relationships.”

A Mint Hill resident for nearly twenty years, it’s important to Dotson that her business allows her to serve her local community.  “I love our town,” says Dotson. “I eat, shop, go to the doctor and dentist here. I love the people, the small-town feel, and the knowledge that Mint Hill is on the precipice of some huge growth, but that most people want us to keep this small-town appeal and friendly atmosphere. I love that I can walk my dogs any time of the day or night and feel safe and secure.”

A new member of the Mint Hill Chamber of Commerce, Dotson looks forward to being an active member of the Mint Hill business community.  “I plan on growing my business one relationship at a time and being an invaluable resource to help people realize the best in themselves,” she says.

You can contact Michele Dotson at 704-804-2328. Be sure to join her for her ribbon cutting and business launch event on May 28 at the new Mint Hill Chamber of Commerce offices for more information about Rodan + Fields’ products and services as well as fun demonstrations and prizes!
