Mint Hill Residents,

The summer of 2020 is not what we had planned in January. We have had to cancel Mint Hill Madness and our Family Fun Nights. Many vacations have been canceled or scaled back. Many are still working from home. Several of our local businesses continue to struggle as we remain in “Safer at Home Phase 2”. Some remain closed and only able to offer their services curbside or virtually. I encourage you to shop and eat local. By keeping your dollars in the community, you are helping improve the local economy while supporting small, resident-owned and operated businesses. We need to come together as a community to help our neighbors.

The Board of Commissioners will meet on Thursday, July 9th at 7:00 p.m. We will continue to follow the state guidelines for public meetings during a state of emergency. The regular meeting will once again be transitioned to an electronic meeting format. The Board will hear public comments by email only. Please email your comments to on or before July 9, 2020, at 6:45 p.m. You can view the meeting on our YouTube channel at

We strongly encourage you to continue wearing face coverings and maintain social distance. Wearing a mask may save your life or the lives of your loved ones. Wear a mask, social distance, and wash your hands.

Stay safe, stay well, wear a mask.

Brad Simmons

Mint Hill Mayor
