MATTHEWS, NC – Katherine Speight, a resident at Cadence at Mint Hill, celebrated her 100th birthday on February 23, 2021.  Speight marked the occasion with her favorite meal from Carrabba’s Italian Grill and a cheesecake for dessert!  The staff and other residents at Cadence at Mint Hill were excited to share her big day with her, but the highlight was a visit from her family.  They were able to spend the evening with her in a COVID-19 friendly way, and her children donned full PPE to be able to see her up close. Speight had a great time at the parties and is looking forward to her next birthday.

Katherine Speight, of Matthews, turned 100 on Feb. 23, 2021 and celebrated with her family in a socially distant fashion.
