Local Dining With The Best

MINT HILL, NC – In our “small” town, we have a wide selection of local dining options that are owned by wonderful local families. These restaurants, wine bars, and craft brew spots are terrific additions to our community. Supporting local town establishments is a great way to promote and show appreciation for everyone that is working hard to serve our community each day. Through the pandemic and each crisis that our country has been through over the past year and a half, these amazing owners have worked hard to stay open, keep jobs available, and have food on their menus. It has not been easy, but our support goes a long way with each visit.

Pour 64 is located near Town Hall and offers over 40 craft beers on tap. It is a great place to hang out and enjoy local craft beers. During COVID-related shutdowns, Pour 64 was affected more than other establishments. Since they don’t serve food, they were not able to open to full capacity until May of 2021. The restrictions have been hard but the owner, Sarah Brock, is dedicated to serving the local community. Sarah prides herself in creating a place “Where the community comes together.” Pour 64 is currently open at full capacity and welcomes everyone to come in and enjoy their craft beers from the tap. Sarah has also recently opened another outdoor seating area, giving patrons two patios to select from. To promote local craft beers and local foods, Pour 64 works together with food trucks to create evenings that include both. Along with in-house services, they also offer curbside service. Call into Pour 64 to have your growlers filled with your local favorites or order online for pickup. Visit https://pour64.com/ for more information on what’s on tap and for upcoming food truck events. You don’t want to miss out on those!

Vintner’s Hill Wine Bar and Bistro is a wonderful spot for tasty eats with a wide variety of amazing wine and specialty drinks along with a selection of regional craft beers. They have been proudly serving the community as a local dining spot that is known for its great atmosphere and local flavor with food and drinks to match. During the pandemic, the restaurant was closed, but that didn’t stop owners Michelle and Howard Hitchcock from being the positive team that they are. The Hitchcocks used the time to “spruce up the place” and make sure their reopening would be as wonderful as it was the first time. This positivity radiates through not only the atmosphere they have created at the restaurant but through their employees. Currently, they are offering daily drink specials and have introduced Mint Hill’s best Sunday Brunch that you don’t want to miss out on. Why go Uptown when you can dine locally with the same flavor right here in town? Vintner’s Hill has an atmosphere that is relaxing and welcoming for all. Enjoy an afternoon or evening with them. Big Guy’s Pizza is home to the 28-inch pizza and has been proudly serving the community since 2005. They are one of the longest-standing establishments in the Mint Hill Festival Shopping Centers off of Mint Hill-Matthews Road. They are a locally owned and family-operated restaurant. The Mullers have experienced issues with maintaining their food supplies throughout the pandemic, but Janet Muller, the owner, does not let that stop her from still making everything from scratch. She hand makes everything from the sauce used in their signature dishes to their sausage. The food industry has been greatly affected by the pandemic. From shortened hours to fewer employees, restaurants count on locals to help keep them open. Big Guy’s Pizza is dedicated to serving the community and offers delivery and curbside service. Their menu has all the traditional favorites, but they have also added gluten-free and cauliflower crust pizzas. Unfortunately, no dine-in services are currently available, but that doesn’t stop the customers that are coming in from saying “We will be back” says Janet. Their full menu is available at  http://www.bigguyspizza.net/.
