MINT HILL, NC – The last time the Lady Patriots beat their arch-rival the Butler Lady Bulldogs was on February 9, 2007.  After 15 years and 28 games, the Lady Patriots put a stop to the Lady Bulldogs’ win streak with a 58-point beat down 80-22 in a home conference game.

The Lady Patriots were never threatened in the game, jumping out to a 22-point lead by the end of the first period and led 54-13 at the end of the first half.

The second half started with the mercy rule in effect.  The continuous clock was the only thing that slowed down the Lady Patriots as they scored only 15 third-quarter points and posted 11 points in the final stanza to take the conference win.
