The Kiwanis Club of Mint Hill established its newest officers for the upcoming year at Jimmie’s Restaurant.

The Kiwanis Club of Mint Hill is a local civic organization that provides assistance to four elementary schools in Mint Hill: Bain, Lebanon Road, Clear Creek and J.H. Gunn. Monthly the club sponsors the Terrific Kids programs at all four elementary schools. Additionally, the club donates dictionaries to all third graders every year at each school along with providing financial assistance through donations raised from our annual golf tournament. The Kiwanis Club of Mint Hill also sponsors the Independence High School Key Club and provides thousands of dollars in college scholarship money to eligible Key Club members. The club meets every 1st and 3rd Wednesday at Jimmie’s Restaurant in Mint Hill at noon. If you would like to learn more about the club, feel free to attend a luncheon or reach out to one of our members. We meet the 2nd and 4th Wednesday for 6 p.m.-7 p.m. at Taxco.
