Halloween is just around the corner and Mint Hill is home to its very own haunted trail attraction, offered completely free to everyone.

A group of neighbors who live on Invershiel Ct. get together just about every Halloween to put together some scary fun for kids and adults.

“We do this because it’s fun,” said Matt Schwoebel, owner, Matt’s Lawn Care and Invershiel Ct. resident. “It’s great getting to give the kids a scare and put something out there for the community to enjoy.”

Invershiel Ct. is located in the Heathergate community just off of Lancashire Dr.

This year the group of neighbors want to open up the trail for more than one night so more people have the chance to come through.

“As much as we enjoy doing this, it’s a lot of work getting everything planned out and set up, so we’d like to get more than one night of fun out of it,” said Nick Pallone, owner, Inspection Connection and Invershiel Ct. resident.

There will be a preview night the Saturday before Halloween, Oct. 27, once it gets dark. Anyone is welcome to come by and see what’s new this year.

The group of neighbors is once again collecting donations for Servant’s Heart of Mint Hill Assistance Programs and Community Boutique for their non-food pantry.

“We don’t want anyone to pay or anything, but we would like to ask those who can to bring non-food household items for the non-food pantry at Servant’s Heart,” Pallone said. “It’s one of the only places offering non-food items for families in need and it’s pretty cool that’s it’s right here in Mint Hill.”

The Invershiel Haunt preview will begin at dark and end at 8 p.m. on Oct. 27 at the corner of Invershiel Ct. and Lancashire Dr. The regular Halloween admission will be during Trick-Or-Treating hours on Oct. 31.
