After losing the first two sets and being one game away from losing the match, the Lady Patriots came alive. The ladies won the next three sets, 25-21, 25-12 and 15-9, to win the match and celebrate senior night with a conference victory.
The Lady Patriots had 26 aces on their serves. Senior Sophia Terns led the team with 12 aces. Senior Jessica Draffen added 9 aces. Junior Piper Glasgow scored 3 aces while senior Elizabeth Andrews had 2 aces.
Sophia Ternes led the Lady Patriots with 14 kills, and Elizabeth Andrews had 9 kills as the Lady Patriots won the match 3 sets to 2.
Speaking on her team’s come back Coach McSwain said, “I think they showed that they are a top seeded team. I think that they showed that they can come back from being down and really rally together. I think that they are the family they say they are. They have grown a lot despite that they have had four head coaches in four years. Our seniors have been real troopers and they have handled that with grace.”
