Hall Residential: Let Bryan and Jennifer Hall lead you home

Realtors Bryan and Jennifer Hall with their daughter.

When Mint Hill-based real estate agent Bryan Hall expressed a desire to work in real estate almost a decade ago, his family thought he was crazy.  With home values at their lowest since 2003 and the economy in a slump, it didn’t seem like an ideal time to enter the real estate market. But Hall was up for the challenge.  “To me it made sense,” he says. “If I can be successful in one of the worst real estate markets in our history, then everything moving forward should be pretty good!”

Self-described as “one of those guys that tried everything, all at once,” Hall originally envisioned a much different path for himself.  Hall joined the Marine Corp right out of high school, but he was forced to change his plans when he was medically discharged. Shortly after enlisting, Hall found himself unexpectedly back home at 19 trying to figure out what would come next for him.  He worked a variety of jobs: waiting tables, bar-tending, DJ-ing events, and working for a local Allstate agent, to name a few, before he decided to get into the real estate market.

Hall started out working with a local property management company and then worked with Keller Williams in Ballantyne.  Three years ago, when his daughter was born, he felt the time was right to venture out on his own and work as a sole proprietor.

Originally called QC Realty, the company switched to Hall Residential when Hall’s wife Jennifer earned her real estate license last November and came on board.  Bryan and Jennifer are residential real estate specialists who work with everyone from first time buyers to investors and transitional buyers and sellers.

For Hall, real estate has provided a variety in his work that energizes him, “My favorite aspect of being a Realtor® is that every day is fresh,” says Hall. “I wake up in the morning, and I really don’t know what’s going to be presented to me.  My job is to handle that and respond accordingly. I like to take things hands-on.”

Bryan and Jennifer represent buyers and sellers across Charlotte, but they’re focused on expanding their business right here in their hometown of Mint Hill.  Mint Hill residents since they relocated to Charlotte from Northern Virginia in 2008, Bryan and Jennifer like Mint Hill because it reminds them of where they came from.  “It’s a little smaller, a little slower,” says Hall. “I can go out my door and be in the city in fifteen minutes, or I can turn left and find a corn field in two minutes.”

One thing that separates Hall Residential from other agents is the way Hall embraces technology to increase the exposure of his listings.  Hall incorporates not only professional photography but also videography and 3D interactive tours in his listings. “I think tech is the name of the game in the real estate business today,” says Hall.  “What that means for my clients is they get more information quicker, probably more accurate as well. And the more exposure a listing gets, the more likely we will be able to sell for the best price and terms”.

Another thing that separates Hall from the crowd is his work with Homes for Heroes, a benefit program that helps current and former firefighters, EMS, law enforcement, active, reserve and veteran military, healthcare professionals and teachers to buy and sell homes.  The corporation, which also helps heroes in dire need of housing or emergency financial assistance through it’s charitable nonprofit Homes for Heroes Foundation, was started shortly after 9/11 as a way to give back and say “thank you” to all the heroes who make sacrifices for the good of the rest of us.

“These people go out every day and sacrifice their time and lifestyles to help people around them,” says Hall, who holds the distinction of being the only Homes for Heroes affiliate in Mint Hill.  The exact amount of “Hero Rewards” an individual can receive by working with Hall varies depending on factors like whether they are buying or selling and the price of the home, but in general, working with Hall offers a network of discounts and savings to our civic heroes, including:

  • Reduced real estate service fees at closing for sellers (25% off the listing fee)
  • A check from Homes for Heroes for buyers (Post closing)
  • Reduced lending fees for buyers and refinancers
  • Discounts on other buying and selling-related services (such as home inspection) provided by Homes for Heroes Business Affiliates

“There’s not a lot of real estate companies out there that give back in that capacity,” says Hall.  “For us, it made sense because I was raised by my father who served in the Navy and my mother who was a nurse most of my childhood. It’s a simple way for us to say Thank you.” Hall hopes to promote the program to Mint Hill’s firefighters, police officers, teachers, healthcare professionals, and military personnel moving forward.

Whether you’re a “Hero” or an everyday citizen, the Halls’ experience and professionalism can help you to achieve all your real estate goals.  Visit Hall Residential on Facebook (www.facebook.com/HallResidentialCharlotte) and learn more about Homes for Heroes at www.homesforheroes.com/affiliate/bryan-hall.
