Tax season is upon us and “The Excited Accountant” has you covered. Years ago, when Kevin R. Mays had a CPA file his taxes, he discovered a discrepancy, a mistake that prevented him from getting the best return on his taxes. A veteran of the US Army, Mays’ awareness and desire to help others inspired him to return to college and study accounting, graduating cumlaude, then earning a Master of Business Administration. He first learned the ropes by working at H&R Block and Tax School. Although he gained valuable working knowledge, he realized that he wanted to open his own tax preparing office and make two major changes: offer clients a reasonable price for tax services and provide a hospitable atmosphere where clients are treated on an individual basis.
In 2009, he formed Mays Concepts and continues helping clients file their taxes the right way at a fair price. Specializing in personal, small business, contractor, and corporate tax preparations, Mays Concepts also offers management services such as bookkeeping, payroll, and notary. Kevin and his team work closely with financial planners in the greater Charlotte area should you be interested in long-term financial goals.
