MINT HILL, NC – For the second consecutive week Wilson Lohrer has earned the recognition to be selected the Featured Player of the Week. His on the field performance as a team leader has kept the Patriots competitive this season.
The senior continues to lead the Patriots in all the offensive categories. Against the teams arch rival Butler Bulldogs we went 4 for 7 in two games that were split at each teams home field. In the 9-5 victory over Butler Lohrer went 3-4 with a double, 2 RBI’s and 2 runs scored. In the loss he picked up one of only two hits allowed by Bulldog pitching.
During this season in 8 games played he has a BA .577, 15 hits with 26 official at-bats. He has accumulated 9 singles, 5 doubles, 1 triple, 6 RBI’s while working 6 base-on-balls for the Patriots. He has a solid OBP .656, SLG .846, OPS 1.502. He is playing a significant role in the Patriots 4-4 start on the season.
Lohrer has played travel ball with the Charlotte Megastars, and will be playing American Legion Baseball this Summer for the Town of Mint Hill representing Mint Hill American Legion Post 555.
